Hellza Hoppin

Hellzapoppin (1941) is the most fourth-wall breaking film I have ever seen. The main characters frequently interact with the cameramen and projectionist, while they are simultaneously shooting a film within the film. It has very Spike Jones style humour.

Sadly, Hellzapoppin is mostly only remembered for having the greatest Lindy Hop dance scene ever filmed, featuring dance troupe Whitey's Lindy Hoppers.

They also appear at 5:15 in this musical clip from the Marx Brothers's A Day at the Races (1937):
