Petrov

Alexander Petrov creates animation via full-sized oil paintings. The results are stunning, and his technique completely unique. Aesthetically, he reminds me of Tale of Tales by his teacher Yuri Norstein, and Syrinx by Ryan Larkin.

(It is absurd to watch any of these in such low quality - the original Petrov piece was photographed in 70mm IMAX. Oh well.)
