CG12

The CG12 was yet another failed attempt from Sun to provide 3d graphics in SGI's league. Made in 1990 by Matrox, it's a dual-board set that occupies three sbus slots. So it doesn't fit in many machines, and it doesn't leave any space for anything else in those that it does fit in. 24-bit color, 8-bit overlay, z-buffer, etc. Impressive, but nowhere near SGI's high end at the time.

Why does is use a seperate DAC for each color!?!? Weird.
