The Connection Machine supercomputer from the 1980s is such a stunning looking piece of industrial design, and so difficult to photograph, that every photograph of it is just trying to document its objective appearance. It never even occurs to anyone to try to do creative photography of a CM cabinet.

So here's a photo of a CM that I took a few days ago, shot to look like Laurie Anderson.
